The Stewards are reponsible for the financial health of the
congregation. They coordinate the counters for each week. The Treasurer
Connie Webber keeps the books. Using the figures Connie gives them the
Stewards discuss and take action in order to secure
and manage the
monies used for the ministry, administration, and upkeep of the
buildings for the local congregations. Their hard work allows the
majority of the congregation to focus on its ministry.
In
order to do this the Stewards animate the congregation in fundraising
efforts. The Lunch in the Abbey, the Pie Making Blitz, the Summer
Festival Supper, and the Cookie Dough Sale are a few of the initiatives
they arrange.
