Shine!

In the dark of winter, SHINE! was designed to bring a little bit of glamour and glitz into the lives of the community’s women. Attendees were encouraged to dress in their best and even to add a bit of shimmer and shine to that special outfit.

This Night Out featured dynamic speakers:

Alice Finnamore – Alice’s book, The Glory of Being: A Biblical Journey into Abundance offers the life of Jesus as an example of how abundance is not a wait for heaven experience but is a here and now experience. A psychologist, Alice offers workshops Empowered by Dreams and Flying Lessons for the Soul as part of her practice. Her SHINE Talk focused on being the best you can be.

Barbara Gill, author of Soul Gifts and Soul Rubbing Exercises: A Personal Vision Quest. In her book and in person, Barbara encourages all she meets to be gentle with themselves. An RN who has been battling sarcoma, her SHINE message centred on self- care.

Bethany Dykstra - Bethany’s busy life is guided by her personal philosophy: “a community is only as good as the people in it - we all need to do our part!”. Her SHINE Talk, “Women Empowered” centred on her experiences with the Business & Professional Women's Club of Greater Moncton Inc. We hear the amazing outcome of women who did not accept the status quo and stood together to make a difference in their community and beyond. She also shared a bit about "God's Amazing Plans" through her ventures as the founder of the Voice of Real Poverty Inc.
