For Valentine’s Day, a special worship service called "Celebrating God’s Gift of Love and Marriage" was held on Sunday February 8th, 2009  at Chipman United Church.

A slideshow featuring over 50 wedding couples and their parties was shown before and after the service. In the Time for All Ages portion, children and adults alike offer suggestions for “Chipman United’s Top Ten Ways to Show Your Love” and the litany was enthusiastically recited by all present. A soloist sang “There is Love”, Joyce Rupp’s commentary on John 21 entitled “Will You Be My Valentine?” was read, a vase of Red Roses in Memoriam to Spouses who had died found its place at the front of the sanctuary and sixteen couples renewed their wedding vows.  The total number of years married represented by the sixteen couples was 640 years!
