CELEBRATION SUNDAY
CLOSES OFF THE CAMPAIGN
On the sixth and final Sunday of the Campaign we gathered for a fantastic breakfast of French Toast, Breakfast Casserole, Bacon, Fruit Trays, Muffins, Juices, Coffee Tea and Donuts.
Worship featured a Gospel Medley as well as a wide variety of lively singing lead by our Celebration Singers. Two ministry medleys featuring songs about our four areas of ministry framed the day's message, "A Patchwork Quilt of Ministry". Rev. Kathi talked about how in sharing our gifts and talents in various configurations we were like quilt pieces being sewn together in colorful blocks and pleasing arrangements.
Just as quilters offer their quilt top, needles and threads and in the process of their quilting in community transformation take place, God takes the our time, talents, and treasure offered in congregation and makes it into something much more than any one of us could do alone or in combination by ourselves. In the process we, too, are changed as are those we serve.
Later in the service, each person told of what they bring to the ministry as they placed a fabric square onto our felt board at the front of the church. The congregation was presented with a large quilted hanging which features three trees and a river framed with a multitude of quilt blocks. This hanging will hang in the Vestry as an attractive cover for the quilts in process.

CELEBRATE STEWARDSHIP
was the theme of worship throughout the Easter Season. We began our celebration with a covenanting of all our Board and Committee members. Each week following the ministry of one of one of the four Session Committees was highlighted with the chair or member of the committee giving an overview of the committees mission and sharing a bit about the work they were involved in on our behalf.
GEORGE DOUGHART
MARITIME CONFERENCE'S STEWARDSHIP CONSULTANT
GUEST SPEAKER AT WORSHIP
On the 5th Sunday of the campaign George Doughart joined the congregation. Using the story of Mary annointing Jesus with expensive perfume, George's spoke of giving as an response to our belief.
Treasurer, Connie Webber, presented a narrative budget illustrating how our givings and fundraising make possible the varied and dynamic ministry we are involved in. She encouraged us to prayerfully consider increasing our commitment to the congregation so that our offerings fund a greater proportion of the ministry that God is calling us to.
